Wichita is currently the Air Capital of the World, but it faces competition from Embraer in Brazil and other manufacturers. Pilots ask Air Force to limit unmanned aircraft restricted space Pilots in North Dakota have asked the Air Force to limit airspace restriction plans for unmanned aerial vehicles to as small an area as possible. At hearings Friday, pilots said the restriction on a large area near Grand Forks, N.D., would harm the private air business and restrict people from flying in. Link
Boeing to consider India's request for refueling tankers Boeing says it is taking a look at a proposal from India for six refueling tankers and may respond within two weeks. A company spokesman also said Boeing is expected to begin trials for the C-17 Globemaster III advanced airlifter in the spring. Link
Continental's 7,603 ground workers unionize Continental's fleet service employees voted Friday to become members of the Teamsters union. The move passed by just 300 votes. Mike Bonds, Continental's senior vice president of labor relations, said, "We respect the choice our co-workers have made."
