Heavy snow cover has caused a UK air museum's Vulcan to spontaneously over-rotate. Pics:

My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Shouldn't be too much damage, that is such a gradual shift in CG.
And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen

Imagine they may use some strong tie-downs after this.

That's something I never in my life would have expected to see.

I guess it would be unique to deltas and possibly canards (especially the swept-wing type, Starships and maybe Long-EZs).

Looking at my model of Concorde, I'm wondering why we haven't heard of any pulling a similar stunt. Of course, AA and AC are indoors, but AB (at Heathrow) and AF (at Filton) must have caught some of the white stuff. Of course, they are engineless, which has to help the CG, but didn't AB still need to be stuffed full of old in-flight magazines to keep the nose down?

Apparently someone knows how to secure retired birds. Although it is rather amusing how they did it.

Plus: This thread is just dying for a Star Trek photo shop :))

On second thought they should leave it that way, look cool. Although this time tie it down by the tail.
