Since I travel standby I ordinarily don't plan trips more than 48 hours out. The LIS meet up would be different. That being said, I saw that next summer UA will be flying to Nuuk, Greenland (BGGH) and Palermo, Sicily (LICJ). If it looks good seating wise, I might just give those two a whirl.

I want to get back into spotting. My job kinda allows me to do it during the course of my duties, but it's not really the same.

I have a list of the "must visit" spotter locations that I want to visit, but I'm not sure if I'll get to any of them during 2025 due to family obligations. The first six months of 2025 are definitely no travel months.

A350 business class on the two LHR legs, though. Last chance to blow the upgrade vouchers, and to enjoy the CX lounge in T3 before dropping down to AY silver at the end of the month.

Ordinarily, I'd have a return LHR-MAN and LHR-EDI in the middle (and PLH if someone hadn't closed it), but I've got enough relatives and little enough days that the only way to make it work is a big circle round the UK on trains. Fortunately, since I don't live there any more, I can use Interrail for a cracking deal on all that travel (with an extra 25% off at the moment!).

May: Looks like HAM for work, hopefully MAN.

KLM seem to be using AMS-MAN as one of their familiarisation routes for their brand new A321NX. Some family flew on a brand new example on its first day of service recently. One is due the week before you fly, so you may just get something shiny and new.
