Cargolux to raise fuel surcharge in 2020
CARGOLUX customers are facing a fuel surcharge increase in 2020, writes Thelma Etim.
The Luxembourg all-cargo airline is to raise its fuel surcharge on all airfreight shipments from 30 December, after reducing it at the beginning of the month.

Swift Air (USA) becomes iAero Airways
Swift Air (Phoenix and Greensboro) this month transitioned to a new identity and name.
The name change reflects the ownership change.
In December 2018, Swift Air was acquired by iAero Group as a key component of their new integrated aviation services platform.

TUI fly Belgium to fly to Ohrid and Pula
TUI fly Belgium (TUI Airlines Belgium) has announced it will be offering two new seasonal destinations in the Balkans in its 2020 summer schedule: Ohrid (North Macedonia) and Pula, Istria (Croatia).
Ohrid will be served weekly from June 6, 2020.
Pula will be served twice-weekly from Brussels from April 25 to October 2, 2020.

Billionaire Brothers Could Be Saviors for India’s Jet Airways
The Hinduja Group is preparing a bid to buy grounded carrier Jet Airways India Ltd., according to people familiar with the matter.
The U.K.-based group, run by brothers Gopichand Hinduja and Ashok Hinduja, plans to submit an expression of interest by the Jan. 15 deadline, signaling its intent to make a formal offer, the people said, asking not to be identified as the deliberations are private. Hinduja is seeking a partner to bid, one of the people said.

Ryanair's Polish unit to take B737 MAX 8s
Ryanair Holdings will place some of its incoming B737-8-200s with the group's Polish unit, currently known as Ryanair Sun (RR, Warsaw Modlin) but in the process of rebranding as Buzz (RR, Warsaw Modlin).
According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, the first three MAX 8-200s for the Polish airline will be SP-RZA (msn 62314), SP-RZB (msn 62313), and SP-RZC (msn 62315). According to photos available online, the aircraft have already been painted into the Buzz livery and remain in storage at Renton airport.

New era for New York's Stewart International Airport
New York's Stewart International Airport will be under new management on January 1 when a joint venture between Groupe ADP and AvPorts assumes responsibility for the operating, maintaining and developing the gateway for at least the next 10 years.
Future Stewart Partners will operate and maintain the airport's terminal, landside and airfield and will also manage and develop the airport's concession programme and oversee air services development services.
