French pilot union calls for in-depth MAX training
As Boeing gradually progresses toward the reauthorization of 737 MAX passenger flights, French pilot union SNPL France ALPA is calling for thorough pilot training before the aircraft returns to service. “We want to be aware of the existence of a system,” SNPL VP Vincent Gilles said. In training, Gilles wants pilots to be taught how to maintain control even though automation fails. This would take place in flight simulators.

Airbus gains EASA BelugaXL type certification
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has awarded type certification to the Airbus BelugaXL, the latest generation of custom-built freighters used by the European manufacturer to transport major components between its factories.
Certification will allow Airbus to start operations with the new aircraft in early 2020.

DUBAI: Too early for talk on A380 succession – Airbus
Airbus expects over two-fifths of today’s Middle East airliner fleet to be replaced over the next 20 years but has no answer for A380 operators needing a successor to the super-jumbo for slot-restricted markets.
Senior vice-president business analysis and market forecast Bob Lange says the airframer's latest global market outlook estimates demand from the Middle East for 3,200 new airliners through 2038.

DUBAI: International debut for Mi-38 helicopter
Russian Helicopters has given an international air show debut to its Mil Mi-38, showing the heavy-twin equipped with a VIP cabin.
Featuring a maximum take-off weight of 15.6t and a 5t payload, the rotorcraft is powered by a pair of Klimov TV7-117V engines. These are located aft of the cabin, helping to reduce noise for passengers, the company says.

DUBAI: Embraer chief eyes Middle East sales as E2 line-up matures
The chief of Embraer’s commercial aircraft unit sees a big opportunity to expand the Middle East fleet of E-Jets, an aircraft he describes as perfectly suited for connecting smaller cities to the region’s massive hubs.
“I think the next phase of growth for the Middle East will be more local connectivity,” Embraer commercial aircraft chief executive John Slattery said ahead of the Dubai air show.

DUBAI: Boeing confident of 737 Max sales revival
Boeing is confident that it can recover ground lost by the 737 Max to the rival Airbus A320neo, sales-wise, once the twinjet is back in service.
But the focus for the moment is the aircraft's safe return to operations, which the airframer is aiming to achieve by around January 2020, depending on regulatory approval.

United Airlines removes all MAX flying through March 4, 2020
United Airlines on Nov. 15 removed all Boeing 737 MAX operations from its schedule through March 4, 2020, one week after American Airlines and Southwest Airlines also pulled the type through the first week of March.   “Since the grounding of the Boeing MAX aircraft in March, United has gone to great lengths to minimize the impact on our customers’ travel plans.

Qantas completes nonstop London-Sydney 787-9 trial flight
Qantas has completed the second of its three planned ultra-long-haul trials by operating a non-scheduled flight from London to Sydney in 19 hr. 19 min.
The trial used a new Boeing 787-9, with its delivery flight from Seattle re-routed via London Heathrow International Airport.

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes speaks out on FAA downgrade
AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes has hinted that the company’s Japan air operator’s certificate AirAsia Japan could be another way for the LCC to continue expansion into the US.
The group’s long-haul arm, AirAsia X, is the only Malaysian carrier directly affected by the US FAA’s Nov. 11 decision to downgrade Malaysia to Category 2, preventing it from adding routes or frequencies to the US.

France’s Air Caraibes to use A350-1000 to boost winter frequencies
French airline Air Caraibes is boosting frequencies in its winter schedule, with the arrival of an Airbus A350-1000 set for January 2020.
The new A350-1000 will seat 429 passengers and will operate on the airline’s key Paris-Caribbean routes.

CAPA Asia: Thai AirAsia posts 3Q net loss on sluggish tourism growth
Thai AirAsia (TAA) reported a THB416.6 million ($13.5 million) net loss for the 2019 third quarter, attributable to sluggish tourism growth in the Kingdom.
However, TAA executive chairman Tassapon Bijleveld, speaking Nov. 14 at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit, said he is confident the airline will be profitable in the fourth quarter and the whole of fiscal 2020.

Copa 3Q profit up 80%; accelerates transition to all-Boeing fleet
Panama-based Copa Holdings posted a net profit of $104 million in the 2019 third-quarter, up 80% from $58 million in the same period last year. Total operating revenue improved 5% to $708 million.
Unit revenue, measured in RASM, grew by 9.5%, while non-fuel unit costs, measured in CASM-ex, rose 5.5%.

SAA chief warns strikes threaten carrier's survival
South African Airways' acting chief has warned that continued strikes will deepen the airline's financial crisis, after flights were disrupted by industrial action.
Zuks Ramasia says the carrier's financial position is already "precarious" and that strikes will have "dire ramifications" that will "without doubt place SAA's future in jeopardy".

DUBAI: ​Biman adds pair of -9s to existing 787-8 fleet
Biman Bangladesh Airlines is adding to its fleet of Boeing 787-8s with an order for a pair of larger and longer-range -9 Dreamliners.
Worth $585 million at list prices, the order was previously attributed to an unnamed customer in Boeing's backlog.

Prague Václav Havel Airport has announced that it intends to invest 27 billion CZK during its first development phase, funded from the airport’s own resources with no effect on state budget.
Prague Václav Havel Airport is the fifth fastest growing airport in Europe, and is predicting a long-term average of a three per cent increase in yearly passenger numbers; expecting to handle 30 million passengers by 2035.

So, for the past several months, anytime an airport diagram is posted in Trivia, I see a blur and a "Photobucket" icon. WTF is that all about?

Strange, I see nothing abnormal here. Is anyone having the same problem ?

Yes, same issue - photo is blurred out with photo bucket spread across it

(Same issue on Mac/Safari and Windows/Chrome)

Really strange, using Chrome all diagrams are blurred except the 3rd one ...

Same issue . . . . haven't been able to see airport diagram trivia in months. Today, Dulles was easy enough. . . . the rest - not so much.
