New airlines, new routes, new countries... back in the air

Air France-KLM conceded that the Joon brand was “difficult to understand from the outset for customers, for employees, for markets and for investors.”

In other words: "It was a stupid idea and we were the only ones too stupid to see that."
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Not the only example of that in today's daily:

EasyJet inks A319 sale-leaseback deal in neo fleet transition

15 years ago easyjet were told those A319s were a poor fit but they wouldn't listen. What they wanted was all the costs of an A320 but with 20% less capacity, because that's a really smart move. Now they're having to cut deals here there and everywhere to fund the A320s they should have bought in the first place! {facepalm}
A million great ideas...

That was the A319s they nobbled by having them drag the weight of two extra overwing exits around?

Yep, and that cost as much to crew as an A320 because they configured them for 156 pax. A perfect example of an airline owner repeatedly refusing to believe they could be wrong in the face of overwhelming evidence. Never mind, G4 have done very well out of the whole debacle with some cheap second-hand airframes. They seem to be good at that.
