AirlinesAir Astana opts for Inmarsat GX broadband for Boeing 767 fleetKazakhstan-based Air Astana will retrofit Inmarsat Global Xpress (GX) high-speed connectivity equipment on its three Boeing 767 aircraft from September 2016. The installation, to be implemented by airborne connectivity provider Rockwell Collins, will enable high-speed broadband access for personal computers, tablets and smartphones using inflight data connectivity to the GX satellite system. Air Astana engineering manager Andrey Gulev said the service will be made available on all three of the carrier’s 767s by end September 2017.
