Airlines were prepared for massive snowstorm
Airlines were prepared for the East Coast storm over the weekend that dumped two feet or more of snow in New York City and other locations. "Airlines had the benefit of knowing about this storm and the potential impact several days in advance and as such alerted passengers and gave them options to rebook or change their travel plans at no additional cost," said a representative from Airlines for America. The group added that airlines could "proactively cancel flights to minimize the impact to customers and crew," and were able to "resume operations quickly once it was safe to fly."
