Wish the video started about 30-60 seconds earlier. At first glance, could be another vortex ring accident. Could be from another Osprey or could be completely self induced particularly if the pilot backed off his initial approach due to visibility problems then descended through his own downwash.

Ouch!

Coincidentally enough, two Ospreys flew directly over my house yesterday at no more than 2K' AGL. One came back over headed the other way about 15 minutes later.

The V-22 is the LET410 of the western world in terms of accident records.

A tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey carrying 22 Marines had what was described as a "hard-landing mishap" at Bellows Air Force Station on Oahu at approximately 11:40 a.m., according to a statement released Sunday night by the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

I guess it was a "hard-landing".

It's hard to believe 21 people survived that...

The V-22 actually has a vey good safety record since it started combat operations. Many of the initial issues were more a product of bad training doctorine than anything else.
