A Denver police officer faces felony menacing and weapons charges based on an allegation that he pointed a pistol to speed up his order at an Aurora McDonald's in May.

An employee at the McDonald's at 18181 E. Hampden Ave. told investigators that two officers were waiting for their order at the drive-through window in the early morning hours when Derrick Curtis Saunders, 29, grew impatient and pulled a weapon.
...
Saunders was assigned to Denver International Airport.

So what do our resident popo think about this genius? {facepalm}

Idiot. Everyone knows you use your taser to speed up the service. Pulling the gun is old school.

Also not a good idea to go through the drive-through in uniform for other reasons we won't get into here.

Maybe it's true, but maybe it has been embellished to make it a bit more "newsworthy". I'd like to see the IA report or at least a statement from his Department about it.
Slider... <sniff, sniff>... you stink.

I am thinking you are correct.

This is the likely scenario.

Cop goes to pick up window
Sees a friend he has know for years at the window
playfully pulls gun on him to "speed up service"
Someone else sees this and goes nuts

Still not good though
