Oh come on man.
You've played D. Hell...you've played period a lot more recent than I. Even 15 years ago, as a forechecker, we knew damned well what would happen if we nailed a guy against the boards when all we see is his numbers.
You let up.
Period.
McLeod is no better than Lapierre, Kaleta (which I don't get because the guy can actually do more than barely stand on skates), Torres, Cooke, etc.
Kronwall did fudge up and try to turn away once he was at the wall, but McLeod had him lined up from 30 feet out and had plenty of time to let up or even miss him. He should have the book thrown at him.
Why? Lapierre did this same exact hit a few nights ago to Boyle, and obviously no one is caring.
Hell, this damned stuff happens almost every other night from these borderline AHL players and the league doesn't do a damned thing. You want this shit to stop? Make an example of these goons. I'm talking games. 10 minimum. Make it hurt to get suspended.
Did Roy put him up to it? I kinda doubt it after cooling off some, but it's not like Roy hasn't put his own kid up to gooning it up...
