We appear to have a technical problem right now. Everything involving our photo database (including the homepage and forum threads with embedded photos) currently leads to timeouts.

We do not know the reason yet, but my guess is that this may be a hard disk failure. We are trying to get this resolved with our hoster asap. I will keep you posted about the progress, but worst case is that this can be resolved only on Monday.

Looks like the site is working properly again. I still don't know what went wrong, so for the time being, I'd make the usual recommendation to copy longer posts to the clipboard before submitting them, just in case the problem reappears.

Our hoster just got back to me. There was a DDOS attack on their network last night. The brief downtime was a result of their counter measures, that required certain services to be temporarily shut down.

The attack was not specifically targeted on netAirspace, so for the moment, all should be fine again.
