Holy shit, you made me hungry. KFC run is in order.

Seriously though, the thread starter actually has some offensive tone to me. To put the shoe on the other foot, how would it look if I started a thread titled "Wow. It's a Real Gay Couple!", then went on to describe a pair of stereotypical gay males I see on the property next to mine and how they embrace each other and make obvious public displays of affection toward one another. Or if it was titled "Wow. It's a Real 41gg3r!", then went on to describe a Cadillac with curb feelers and people of dark skin pulling watermelons and fried chicken from the car. Really, how would that be taken?
Now, I am not in the least saying the thread should be pulled or locked because any "redneck" would have the stones to accept what has been written, but it should be noted that the exact same behavior would be looked upon as offensive and would not be tolerated were it aimed at any other cultural, racial, or sexually oriented group other than straight white males.

The only problem with the guy pulling up in the truck with the Stars, Bars and coors is that the frackin' truck is a DODGE. No self-respecting Red-Neck would own a DODGE. They're Chevy people. Just ask any one of my cousins in LA . . . . Lower Alabama. They can't even Spell Dodge. Of course, they can't spell Chevy either but what the hell.![]()

That's simply a label given them by real racists - ones that just can't let go of the past. The confederate flag is a part of southern history. Yes - southern history includes some real bad shit - but it IS history. And it wasn't perpetuated by the flag, but from southern racists.

Queso and ORF, you made your point, but don't let it get too carried away. If you can't laugh at yourself, along with everyone else, then who can you laugh at period?
