Heteronormativity?

Everything that would not belong anywhere else.

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, June 24, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Researchers at the University of Michigan have concluded that the love stories told in classic Disney and other G-rated children's films - such as the Little Mermaid - are partially to blame for the pervasiveness of what they label "heteronormativity."

Okay, seriously... This is head explodingly stupid.

Nothing against homosexuals, but heterosexual is the norm. Sexual reproduction is the standard method of propagation for the species. Disney, who has only been around for a tiny fraction of human existance, had nothing to do with that.

On the other hand, the assertion could also be made that "buddy" classics such as Fred and Barney, and especially Bert and Ernie, have gone a long way toward perpetuating homosexuality. Look at the love Tom showed for Jerry by chasing him all over the house. The Coyote would stop at nothing to satisfy his infatuation for the Road Runner. Bugs Bunny even dressed up in feminine garb to woo Elmer Fudd in "Rabbit of Seville", and whatever happened to Daisy Lou?
Slider... <sniff, sniff>... you stink.

There was a German TV series called 'Bernie & Ert', which mayyyyy have supported certain homosexual ideas... :))

This is like that movie I watched a few years in Sociology about how Disney movies are inherently racist and sexist and are teaching kids that those things are ok. I couldn't stop laughing.

I knew it was only a matter of time before some group started to make such claims. Make the heteros feel guilty. Just like some groups try to make white males feel guilty. {sarcastic}

Yeah, I've heard those claims too. There are, however, hidden sexual images as well as suggestive language hidden in the audio tracks of some Disney movies, put there by production staff as a joke, not as a sinister plot by Disney.
Make Orwell fiction again.

Oh, i've seen those. They're funny as hell. But im talking about people taking the time to analyze every disney movie and point out anything that is racist, sexist, or anti Semitic. Kinda like Song of The South :))

There was a movement (black Muslim converts, IIRC) that claimed that Disney is dedicated to the perpetuation of the Nazi empire. I was googling the subject and came across this classic:-

{check} It's only a matter of time before we're all forced to be apologetic because our government once outlawed homosexual acts, just as we're expected to take the blame for the slave trade.

Family entertainment is Disney's market - if you want blatant homosexuality in your cartoons, watch Spongebob ;)
A million great ideas...

You know, these days, if an article starts with the words "Researchers found...", you're pretty much guaranteed that what they found is either complete and utter bull, or simply retarded, 99% of the time, and only 1% of what they found actually makes sense or is relevant to society...
