TORRINGTON, Connecticut - A group of teenagers misunderstood a woman's screams during sex and stopped what they thought was an assault by beating the woman's companion, police say.

A girl, two boys and a 19-year-old man were arrested Tuesday and arraigned Wednesday on assault and conspiracy charges.

On June 6, police say the 16-year-old girl, who lives in the home, heard the 34-year-old woman's screams and thought she was being attacked. It wasn't immediately clear how the woman and the teenager are related.


The girl rounded up some friends. Police say they went into the bedroom and beat the woman's 25-year-old companion with a baseball bat and punched him. He was treated at a hospital and released.

I've had a couple along the way that would wake up the dead. Had a couple of vampiresses that would draw blood from my neck every time, as well as a couple that would leave claw marks on my back that took nearly a month to heal because they were always kept clawed raw.

I've thought about this before, because sometimes a motion causes quite a yelp or scream to where it could sound like assault.

On the same note, ever heard someone working out real hard (grunting etc) and not see the actual person lift? It sounds like they are whacking off or having sex.
Oh, I enjoy thinking like a 14 year old.

A friend of mine (she's a screamer) says, that for her, it is involuntary, but it doesn't happen every time. But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if there are some putting on a show.

The article has been updated. One of the teenager is the daughter of the woman.
