Easiest Way To Bayfront Park From SFO?

Everything that would not belong anywhere else.

On Friday, I will be heading down to SFO for a day of spotting. To ad to the fun, I plan to take Amtrak from Sacramento to Richmond and BART down to SFO. After hanging out at the airport, what's the best way to get down to Bayfront Park / The Westin? Can it be walked? What about taking BART to the Millbrae station and walking down Millbrae Ave? I don't want to deal with a cab for such a short distance and probably wouldn't be allowed to ride the Westin shuttle. Thanks.

Wish I could help, but I've only ever stayed the hotels across form the park. It can't be walked from what I've seen. Sorry. :(

It doesn't seem like it would be easily walkable. The 101 pretty much borders the 1's, but there might be a access road or something there too, but I think that would be awkward to walk down there, and might be almost 2 miles.

I really think you'd be fine taking one of the hotel shuttles there.

My only concern with that is getting back. I'm sure it would be easy to get there, but getting on the return shuttle with no one there recognizing me, eh, I'm probably just over analyzing it.

Probably.

You gonna meet any of our SFO people while you're down there? If they can make it, I suppose.

Bayfront is certainly worth it. You can walk the trail all the way along the shore past the park just about forever, too. Get us some nice pictures, ya hear?
