By member request, we now offer our First and Ultimate Class members the option to see ads. Speaking personally, I'm overjoyed that you'd want to do that. :)

There is a new usergroup called "First Plus". First and Ultimate Class members who join this group will see the same ads as Business and Economy members. Business and Economy members can join the group if they wish, but it won't have any effect until they upgrade to First or Ultimate.

I want to see the ads!

1. Go to your User Control Panel.
2. Click the Usergroups tab at the top.
3. Scroll down to the "Non-memberships" section and find the First Plus group.
4. Click the radio button (circle) on the right of the box.
5. Scroll to the bottom.
6. Near the bottom right of the page, select "Join selected" from the drop-down list.
7. Hit "Submit".

I don't want to see the ads any more!

The procedure is basically the same as when you opted in:

1. Go to your User Control Panel.
2. Click the Usergroups tab at the top.
3. Scroll down to the "Memberships" section and find the First Plus group.
4. Click the radio button (circle) on the right of the box.
5. Scroll to the bottom.
6. Near the bottom right of the page, select "Resign selected" from the drop-down list.
7. Hit "Submit".

Once again, thank you for supporting netAirspace!
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Thank you, and thanks for an explanation on how to do it that even I can understand! {blush}

I second that. Thank you for your support!

And thanks, Ed, for implementing it!

I have no idea how to allow ads from this site while continuing to block them everywhere else... {blush}

Firefox 14.0.1 with Adblock Plus 2.1.2.

If it helps the site in any way, I'll look at ads, but I want to keep blocking everyone else...

Just go to your Adblock Plus settings and select "Disable" for Netairspace.com.

FWIW, just my {twocents} , I think it should be called something else, like Business Elite or maybe Connoisseur - First Plus makes it sound better than First, which wouldn't be true, since Business and Economy members could join and First (and Ultimate) have the opportunity to switch ads off. Too much critique, no? {angel}

Otherwise, sounds like a plan. {thumbsup}

Just a friendly reminder: don't get click happy.

I couldn't figure it out because I'd blocked my view of the Adblock settings.

I knew they were here someplace, but I couldn't find them.

Now I see ads here but nowhere else... {thumbsup}

I've been using this for a while now and have had no problems at all with the ads, because of the way Shanwick has designed the site layout they are very unobtrusive.

Thank you for implementing the ability for us to choose to see them. I hope it has helped the site a little more. {thumbsup}

Thanks a lot for chosing to see the ads!

This reminds me, though, that we need to add a pay-per-view advertiser to the mix. These pay-per-click ads earn close to nothing. Around $12 a month, currently, and we can't just start click-whoring, or they will kick us out.

Still, every little bit helps.

Let me check the old ASO backups... :))

There is no definite guideline. If you see something that looks interesting, a click every other day certainly won't hurt. But don't start clicking every ad you see, or we might get mail from them. ;)

The Amazon ads don't pay per click, they are for our affiliate program.

I don't have an issue with the ads. But I am curious if everyone else is getting a lot of ads to meet Asian women. It's not a smutty advertisement, just one of those Asian women are waiting for western men type thing.

There's probably some IP tracking thing that can tell you're western.

I haven't seen one, but the IP thing sees I'm southern. ;)

I thought I was the only 'special' one...

Well, by "western" I mean from somewhere that isn't the far east. Not limited to the western US. You still have a chance. ;) {laugh}

I was kinda hoping I was the only one. :))
