At times like this, it sucks to live in Bermuda...

Lowest I can go is ISO400, it has ISO800 too but it says I have to go to 0.8MP for that. Do I want to do that? Ordinarily I am at 7.0MP.

I was able to set the Exposure Value to -2.0

Looks like I don't have a setting for the aperture, but I do have a setting for "Beach: Use for bright beach scene" and "Snow: Use for bright snow scene". Will one of those help, or is my camera just too cheap for this job?

Sorry I couldn't get back to you in time to respond, Cheeseman.

Bracketing is different than Exposure Values (EV) so that wouldn't have helped you but setting the EV to -2.0 would help. The Beach & Snow settings might have been dumbed down ISO settings but I'm surprised you could only go down to ISO 400 for the lowest setting and I'm not sure what the memory usage has to do with that...

Without seeing your camera, it would have been difficult for me to make recommendations on the options you had available but it's good to ask questions like that so you can learn about what settings work for what situation, etc.

Unfortunately, the eclipse was too high in the sky to capture it with any land features in the shot (which is what I was hoping for) but this is what I was able to get:

You got some good sun shots, including that beautiful 'C' that warms my heart...

I did get those shots, but instead will give an idea of the light/dark/light cycle that we went thru.

Einstein said two things were infinite; the universe, and stupidity. He wasn't sure about the first, but he was certain about the second.

We headed up to an overlook over Provo. Figures that about 10 minutes before it's peak, the clouds came. {mad}

Overall, I did see about 70% of it. No pics though.
Down with this sort of thing!
