"Meltdown" in Oelde - Children's nuclear power play
Two boys have built a model power plant on a sidewalk of their hometown - causing a large deployment of police and fire brigade. For their game, the six year olds created a nuclear power plant that looked so real that an alarmed pedestrian called the police.
Oelde - their vivid imagination and creativity brought two boys from Oelde into trouble: according to an official police report, the six-year-olds had built a "nuclear reactor" from a computer case, and stuck a large radioactivity sign to its side.
The sign they had previously downloaded and printed from the internet. When the kids left their game for a short stay at home, a pedestrian discovered the supposedly radioactive object on the sidewalk and alerted the fire brigade.
Policemen and firemen then closed down the whole district. Over the local radio, the residents were asked to stay at home and take precautionary measures. However, firefighters were obviously unable to detect any radiation.
It later turned out that the boys had meanwhile tried to return to their "nuclear plant", but were sent back home by the police forces that had closed down the area. Their parents thought that is all was a major fire brigade exercise. It was only later that they learned over the internet what had caused the emergency, and then informed the police about their sons' game.

No, the grunts probably were aware of it or watched it regularly.. Some first rate ass clown with two bars on his collar probably had never seen it, freaked out, and all the grunts just played along to make the clown with bars on his collar look stupid.
At least thats how things go where I work.
