4 exposure HDR, tonemapped in Photomatix. In Photoshop I sort of used the Contrast Masking technique Nosedive supplied, except instead of using it to pop out the tones, I used it to smoothe them out a little bit. First, I duplicated the background layer and set the blend mode to Overlay, then, I applied some USM to the background layer. Then, I went back to work the duplicated layer, and at this point, I felt that the image was too green and needed some cooler colors, so, I went to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation and with the "Master" selected, I shifted the HUE slider into the Blue range, then shifted the Saturation slider to something very low (but not completely desaturated). Then, I went to Image > Adjustments > Channel Mixer and with the Blue channel I set the Green slider to 20%. After all this, I did a gaussian blur on the duplicate layer and set the slider to a bit above 20%, then set the opacity of that layer to about 75%. I feel like it produced a solid, but not "juiced" HDR.
