Probably for Red Nose Day, a major charity event in the UK where people (and apparently planes) wear red noses.

The aircraft was one of a number given a red nose for the '80s gig in the sky' for Comic Relief (aka Red Nose day), featuring Tony Hadley, Go West, Kim Wilde and Bananarama.
