Just wondering what others think about having some of the loaded threads here get a restart each year. One reason, as we're past our fourth full year and progressing here, some threads could get so big, someone wanting to resource a particular thread (say, like trying to find a particular recipe in the Dinner Tonight thread and not remembèring who posted it) might be better assisted by remembering more as to when it was posted.

Examples of ongoing threads that might be included -

Daily Incident Thread
The State of the . . . Your Job!
Dinner Tonight?
Your Latest Shots, Show Them To Us
Funny Picture Thread
Totally Useless Thread On A Rainy Monday
What Did You Learn Today?

A thread that helped me further think of this is the Trips Planned For 2013. It might look kinda silly to post a new thread, for example, that says "Dinner Tonight? 2014", but maybe something like "Dinner Tonight? Vol. 2". Just a thought.

Definitely an idea to keep things fresh. The 'totally useless' thread is already a volume 2 of an earlier thread that had gone on for way too long.
A million great ideas...

I like mega-threads, and I like to see them grow. As for finding material, the search function is my friend.
Slider... <sniff, sniff>... you stink.

I'd say let them ride unless they take forever to load.
