Only 658 to go at the time of posting... I know last Thursday was the day with the most uploads ever (197!) but I'm not sure what is the current daily average... think we can reach 25,000 in a week? :))

The average over the last 7 days was 95 per day, so that might actually work. 8)

Awesome that we are so close to another big milestone! Thanks a lot to all our photographers - and to the increasing number of followers, who make sure that the view counts are rising as well! {thumbsup}

Highest ID (and therefore all-time upload count) is 24345; this is what we counted when we went for 15k.
Actual photo count is 24077

However you slice it, though, we're close. Upload rate is averaging around 100/day at the moment, although the daily figures are all over the place.
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Random thought - the site's anniversary is sometime this month, right?

The oldest post I can find is on the 16th of April... so 25k by then, doable but difficult!

I can't believe we've been at this for four years.

{bugeye} Indeed! April 16th is when I set up this forum, co-hosted on my private server back then.

The photo db was launched later, though - on November 18th, 2011.

Four years already? :o I figured it was this month because I noticed I joined in April, hadn't paid attention to the year...

Awesome news. I'll even be uploading some of my old shots from 2005 in the next few days, so we'll have a meager bump.Pretty cool to be 4 years old.

Be glad I said the one at the office (a Mexicana A320) and not the one at home, which is a certain 747 from a certain website run by a certain Swede before it was sold to a certain bunch of California monkeys {boxed}

Thanks. Pretty unusual for a lot of it, and some will never be recreated, so I figure upload it even if the quality is poop.

Which it isn't, as far as I can tell.

Looks like we hit 25k overnight:

Nice one, CO777ER!

It was a 10th anniversary / parting gift from Johan to the crew at the time:

BTW, if anyone knows how can I get hold of the piece that joins the airplane to the base, I'll be thankful :)
