We all know that Sunday is the day of Sabbath, or if you're not one of those religious types, the day of rest and relaxation. If you're one of those adventist folks then you can call this thread your "saturday morning activity." At any rate, at my job I'm expected to work monday-saturday (undergrad students are expected to work 3 days a week, some have M/W/F and others have T/TH/S schedules, contract students go all six) and working sunday is optional, but not required. We are only required one day off in 15 per policy, and up until a little over a year ago, I ran with that, but once I hit full time, that went out the window and now I'm every sunday off unless I get a very bad weather spell during the week. Now, we have a 12 hour rule, meaning you cannot consume alcohol within 12 hours of flying, and I love putting a bit of Bailey's in the coffee in the morning, so naturally for six days a week I don't get to do this. However, come every sunday, I have a very effective strategy for ensuring I cannot legally work the rest of the day :)) Its also a good unwinding, and when the Broncos are on, that just makes it all the better.

What's your sunday morning activity?

Sleep, if I can get it. I tend to burn the candle at both ends all week.

This weekend, it was code-bashing.
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Nothing.

Sleep as long as I can, which usually means I'm up at 7 instead of 5.

Coffee, the good stuff, Kaladi Brothers or Seattle's Best.

Football - usually - if the games on early are worth it. Today, Packers vs Bucaneers, so naturally football. Then/and NASCAR. When the rest of the family drags ass out of bed - usually around 11 - I find out what the rest of the day will bring.

I like my Sunday's to be quiet. It's a down day for me, and I prefer it that way.

Depends. If I'm golfing, the earlier the tee time, the better.

If I'm not golfing, I sleep in. Then I clean the bathrooms, run, and eat breakfast.

Well, my Sunday begins at 0315. In the shower by 0330 usually, give or take five minutes, out the door by no later than 0440 for work at 0500.

I actually try not to sleep too late on sundays. If I feel like sleeping in, I'll do it on saturdays. Simple reason - if I sleep too late on sundays, I won't fall asleep on sunday night, and thus be tired on monday.

Which is exactly what's happening right now. I did not set up an alarm this morning and slept till 11, and now I'm wide awake... {grumpy}

As for the sunday activity - I usually sort the mail and do the paperwork that's piled up over the week. Also, I usually try to get out and see friends or family on sundays.

I always go to Saturday vigil mass then go out to dinner. Saturday vigil is less crowded and I don't have to get up early. I usually go to bed very late on Saturday night/early Sunday morning and sleep to 11:00 AM. I get up, read the headlines online, check a few different places I post on and then hit the shower. After that I usually go to the store to get some stuff for the grill. When I get back it is time for the NFL.
