2002, Ecuador, at the beach house.

Some guy walked up and asked if we wanted some oysters. I said 'sure', and he proceeded to tell me that he was going to get them. And he went out to the local oyster beds right then to get them! Talk about fresh.

Best ever cocktail I had, and I still remember the meal.
Einstein said two things were infinite; the universe, and stupidity. He wasn't sure about the first, but he was certain about the second.

Anytime Mom made homemade enchiladas it was the "best meal ever".

Too difficult to decide.

I like to think the best meal ever is one I cooked. {cheerful} {angel}

The Corsair Restaurant in Anchorage is primo.

Kinkaid Grill is as well.

And then there's the restaurants in DC . . . whatever you want, you can probably get it.

Naturally, Europe is chock full of excellent cuisine.

Just can't name "one" best meal ever.
LET'S GO BRANDON!!!!

Honestly, I'd say my best meals ever were down to the company, rather than the food.
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

A Burger King XL Whopper meal - the first meat I ate after one and a half months as a vegetarian to prove to my partner that I did have will power. Well, until I passed a Burger King when I was starving :))

I was in a little bistro in Paris, and they recreated the main course from the film Babette's Feast. "Caille en sarcophage" (quail in puff pastry with foie gras and truffle sauce). Unbelievable!
Look, it's been swell, but the swelling's gone down.

Cairns, Aus-August 2008, with my lady. Went to a Brazilian type steak house where they cut the meat right onto your plate called Bush Fire. I had all sorts of different cuts of beef-most notably kangaroo. Well we loaded up on awesome food, and had a killer bottle of Aussie wine... I can't say much else, but lets say it was quite a night {thumbsup} {thumbsup}

{check} Those long barbecue nights on the river bank of the Neckar or on a friend's roof terrace were great... oh, memories. {laugh}
