Canada has its Highway of Heroes, but this is just an awesome farewell to fallen comrades. I attended far too many ramp ceremonies of many nationalities while working in KAF and still have issues dealing with funerals.

My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Don't be too hard on yourself... He's one of the guys that isn't visible even in the "more smilies" window. I've never got to the bottom of that particular niggle.

A man on a 1956 TV game show's secret was that he saw Lincoln assassinated. The man was a 5 yr old boy when he saw Lincoln get shot. Incredible the changes the old man must have seen: paddleboats and steam engines to jet planes and rockets.

Interesting...

I googled this guy and found out he died from the fall referred to at the beginning of the show... {bugeye}

Seymour died at the home of Mrs. Irene (Horn) Hendley, his daughter in Arlington, Va. He had been in failing health since February when he fell in a New York City hotel while preparing to appear on "I've Got A Secret". He came on the show with his left eye swollen. Garry Moore had suggested he not appear, but Seymour insisted.

Unfortunately, you need to understand at least a little German for this documentary.

If you do, I would recommend to watch this. But you absolutely need to watch it entirely, and without fast-forwarding. It is worth the 30 minutes.

An important safety message.

Hire Engineers to drive the vision and execute a plan. Hire MBAs to shuffle the papers and work in sales. Hire Accountants to manage your staff working a viable livable wage, and never have either an Accountant or an MBA run your company. - Steve Jobs

Watched a series of videos about 3D printing. I did know that this technique became pretty advanced lately. What I did not know is that there are consumer 3D printers available for well under $1,500 already. {bugeye}

Think of all the new possibilities...

Like printing aircraft:

Or weapons:

Some pretty interesting background thoughts (not only on 3D printing):

Thanks for understanding IE9. Now, back to giving Chrome all my search histories.

90s documentary, starting off with ATC and moving into the future - some of which is already the past, making this a particularly interesting watch.
