Insane first couple of days of FA. Broncos have picked up DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, and TJ Ward. Buccaneers cut loose Darrelle Revis! Lions signed away Golden Tate... Seahawks re-signed Michael Bennett.

What big moves do you see upcoming? Thoughts on the big moves thus far?

Since Ted Thompson is an conscientious objector to this whole free agency thing I'll just be relaxing until the draft. Go Pack Go.

Bennett was huge, IMO for the Hawks. Wait and see on Tate - I don't think Stafford gets what he can out of Calvin Johnson, so. Over 2 seasons, the Bears have now lost Lovie, Urlacher, Hester and will probably lose Tillman. O is fine, special teams now a huge ? and D needs a total infusion of talent.

I know you're big on the Hawks, Steve, but they followed the Niners blueprint (and improved a bit on it), which Carolina and AZ have also done. That's why those 4 teams are all but locks for the playoffs next year. Whoever follows suit will join them - and btw, the NFC South looks pretty stacked going into next year. And I think the 1 team who could bust up those 4 I mentioned and anyone else could be the Falcons.

One of the big needs for the Hawks is at WR to replace Tate. Now that Steve Smith has been cut by Carolina - I could see us picking him up for relatively cheap. I think it could be a good fit.

Darren Sproles was traded to the Eagles for only a 5th round pick. Could be the steal of the season if you ask me - Chip Kelly can do big things with that guy.

That's great and all but what had Kelly done to the Eagles defense (besides nothing)?

I don't buy the Bronco's idea of buying a bunch of new defensive guys and expecting it to work. As the Eagles fail proved, chemistry has something to do with it as well.

The Lovie Smith moves with TB should be interesting. I respect Lovie (I think he was allowed to much time with the Bears though) and I think him picking up McCown is a great move, but dumping some high profile players is risky. He is putting it all on the line- if he doesn't get it done he will no longer be a head coach in the NFL.

As for McCown, I am not a fan of Cutler and I think the Bears would have been better off keeping him.
