I mentioned this in the Plaxico thread....

Mike's brother Marcus was sentenced yesterday to 20 days in jail for violating the conditions of his probation for a DUI conviction, eluding police, and a traffic violation last year. He was released later yesterday afternoon on a $25,000 bond pending appeal.

It seems the little scum thought he was above the law, and didn't have to follow the orders of the court. He didn't complete the Virginia Alcohol Safety Awareness Program, nor pay for it. He missed several appointments with councelors, he missed scheduled drug screenings, as well as failing the one he did show up for - testing positive for marijuana. At yesterdays hearing, the judge asked what would be the result of an immediate drug screen, Marcus answered; "positive" He hadn't paid any of the court fees, or fines until yesterday. He still hasn't paid for ASAP.

And people wonder why there is such a distain for athletes that go bad like this. This little POS blatanly disregarded his obligations. Didn't pay his fine until yesterday. I think the only reason he did then was to hope for leniency.....

Scumbag POS is all he is..... big brother too!!

I'd love to see Marcus in court here for the same thing. Yesterday, while waiting for my client's case to be called, some guy was before the judge for the exact same thing you describe.

Judge: Did you drive here today?
Idiot: No, I got a ride and I'm supposed to call my friend to pick me up when I'm done.
Judge: I think you're being unreasonably optimistic that you'll need a ride when we're done...

He sentenced the guy to 45 days and they shackled him up. The best part was that the judge then ordered him to pay his cost of confinement at $50 per day within 120 days of being released. His hotel bill will be $2,250...

Eluding police, eh? He probably should have done it on foot, he would have had a better chance to lose the po-pos.
