Dempsey on his 3rd goal in 5 matches. USA up 1-0 early!

Holy shit, Donovan just put the US up 2-0, beautiful ball movement down the field. It looked like a 2 on 2 layup drill... only in soccer.

Einstein said two things were infinite; the universe, and stupidity. He wasn't sure about the first, but he was certain about the second.

I'll be honest, I was cheering for them!!! But to lose a lead like that in soccer is terrible. That's poor execution and poor coaching. I will watch the Wold Cup next year but I am not expecting them to do much (did they qualify yet?)

I dunno about that. Compared to the US team...Brazil was that good.

I've heard that, but my reaction is, if Brazil was that good they then US wouldn't have had the opportunity to get 2 scores.

From my Norwegian friend who immigrated here...well...obviously he's a big football fan (yeah...soccer)...and he said it looked like USA caught Brazil of guard...hence the two goal lead, but then Brazil got their game on in the second half...and there wasn't much USA could do. Hell, he pointed out a non-call that was actually a goal...which would've made the score 4-2. He made it sound like USA played all out in the first half, then came out exhausted in the second half...and it all fell apart.

That's exactly what it looked like to me. :)
