F#ck! These pictures are among my first TV memories! (Sneaking out of the bedroom as a little boy after bedtime, to secretly watch TV through a gap in the sitting room door when the parents were watching the news). I also remember pictures from the Yom Kippur war.

In case no one recalls the shame, a 'peace treaty' was signed with the North in 1973. The Commies used the cessation of hostilities to rebuild their army. In 1975, they invaded the South. The US had promised the South that in case of attack the US armed forces would be there to repel it. Till the Congress pulled the funding right out and you saw these videos.

3 million deaths later, the people who did this are still feeling smug over allowing this to happen.
