In a package presented by seven European countries to Airbus parent company EADS this week, Germany said it could offer $1.64 billion in cash and loan guarantees to help cover cost overruns for the A400M military transport plane. Germany has ordered the most planes of the seven countries, and in total, the country is expected to pay about $7 billion in additional costs.
