I'm betting the video of working MiG-29s is just footage of somebody else's too.

Some of those pilots posing with their leader at the end looked to be quite experienced - must have been flying for a LOT of years.....

I suspect you're right. They've existed in almost total isolation from the rest of the world for 60 years and have little concept of how the modern world works. There's clearly a WWII vibe to their public service announcements that shows just how out of touch the leadership really is.

Shame really, I'm sure the average North Koreans are decent folk if only they had it in them to get rid of their ridiculous leaders.

As for the ancient pilots.. training costs money.. as does vetting someone well enough to be sure they won't run south with it.

I was wondering if the footage of the missile impacts on the ground target was faked by them planting munitions and detonating them separately while recording it from the air, although one seems to actually hit the mark at 0:57.
