The Portuguese operator HiFly has provided the Belgian Defense forces with an Ex-Onur Air A321. The previous aircraft, an Airbus A330-300 CS-TMT is going back into charter ops.

Quite some downgrade in capacity, but undoubtedly more economic to lease & operate.

I guess flying to the former Belgian colonies in Central Africa would be one reason to have a long-haul capable aircraft - Kinshasa must be around 4k miles from Brussels.

A shame, the A333 used to operate into NCL and GLA quite often
