Probably always more perplexing to understand for “single seat” jocks is how can two or more pilots plus observers continually land at wrong airports..DAYTIME!!!!
I've seen both of these airports from the air and how anybody could confuse McDill with that 3400' podunk airport by the bay is beyond me.
I asked my brother the same question. He says that if you are landing to the southwest, after a direct flight from the other side of the world and you're really tired, he could see it happening, because you get to Knight Airport first.
Just like when that DL flight from Rio landed at ATL on a taxiway instead of the runway.
