67 Years ago, the National Security Act of 1947 was signed by President Truman aboard the "Sacred Cow" VC-54C aircraft, in part establishing the United States Air Force as and independent branch of the military.
September 18th - Happy Birthday, USAF.
Enlisted in 1982 with the intention of doing a 4-year hitch. Ended up retiring 22 years later in 2004. Proud to have been a part of those 67 years.
