Airbus A350 Successfully Completes Automated Takeoff Tests
Today, Airbus shared a revolutionary demonstration of one of its A350-1000s taking off automatically. The aircraft departed its runway by using a vision-based automated system.
The initial testing of this system was carried out at Toulouse on December 18. However, the airline has now shared a video of the process in action on its Twitter account.

The Boeing 777X To Offer Dreamliner Style Dimmable Windows
Boeing is set to offer electronically dimmable windows (EDWs) on its upcoming 777X aircraft. This follows the plane manufacturer’s implementation of similar panels on its 787 Dreamliners.
Printed Electronics World reports that these electrochromic-based windows will be supplied by Gentex Corporation. This firm supplies EDWs for aerospace companies and it will now be offering its products as optional content for the 777X.

80KG Of Cocaine Discovered On KLM/Martinair 747 Cargo Plane
Several crew members of a KLM cargo aircraft have been arrested on suspicion of smuggling drugs. More than 80 kilos of cocaine, with a street value of around $8.5m, was found being loaded onto a Boeing 747 Freighter at Buenos Aires Ezeiza Airport on Tuesday.
