Atlasjet In USD$3 Bln Provisional Airbus Deal
Turkey's Atlasjet has reached a preliminary deal with Airbus to buy around 30 aircraft worth USD$3 billion at list prices as it expands in eastern Europe and central Asia, two people familiar with the matter said. The tentative agreement covers current-generation A321ceo aircraft, but the number of units and other details have still to be agreed, the people said, asking not to be identified because the talks are confidential. Atlasjet declined comment. A spokesman for Airbus said: "We do not comment on confidential discussions that we may or may not be having with potential customers". Chief executive Orhan Coskun said last month the airline was in the final stage of talks to buy up to 50 planes and would make an announcement soon.

The Centurion Lounge at SFO features Christopher Kostow menu
Starting tomorrow, travelers passing through San Francisco International Airport (SFO) will be able to get a taste of Christopher Kostow’s ideal pre-flight snacks. Kostow, the three-Michelin starred chef of The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa, is responsible for the menu at The Centurion Lounge, a new 8,200-square-foot space from American Express where St. Helena olive oil will flow over buffalo milk soft serve seasoned with Maldon salt. Serious travelers are probably already familiar with the restorative powers of steamed rice. Kostow’s version here involves grains grown nearby in Sacramento crowned with his take on furikake, a Japanese seaweed topping made with sea greens from the coast of Mendocino and green tea. It’s haute, thoughtful airport fare with a very strong sense of place.

A Fellow Republican

A USMC sniper was real good at his job, and he had a method. He would yell out some insult at the enemy and when someone stood up to reply, BANG - one less insurgent!

After every mission the company commander would ask "How many insurgents have you shot today?"

However, on this particular day when asked about the number killed, he reported "Five killed and I let one go, sir."

"Let one go?" roared the company commander. "What do you mean, you let one go?"

"Well, sir, I yelled out 'Osama is a Homo!' Then this big insurgent stood up and yelled 'Hillary is a Bitch!' I just couldn't shoot a fellow Republican!"
