Los Angeles Pilots Report Man In Jetpack Near Airport Approach
Pilots approaching Los Angeles International were in for a shock on Sunday evening. Multiple aircraft crews reporting flying past what has been described as a man using a jetpack on the approach to the airport. The FAA is investigating the occurrence and has alerted law enforcement to the report.

Flying-V completes the first real flight test
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in collaboration with Technische Universiteit (TU) Delft completed the successful first real flight test of Flying-V scale model aircraft.
A team of researchers, engineers and a drone pilot of TU Delft completed tested the energy-efficient aircraft design, called the Flying-V, TU Delft announced in a press release on September 1, 2020.

The first Qantas freighter-to-be Airbus A321P2F was spotted performing a test flight in its final livery. The aircraft’s tail indicates that Qantas is on its way to become the first airline in the world to operate the A321 as freighter aircraft.
The world's first Airbus A321P2F (passenger-to-freighter aircraft), destined for Qantas Freight, took off for a test flight on August 30, 2020. The aircraft departed from Seletar Airport (XSP) to make several circles, before landing back at the departure airport, as tracked on flightradar24.com.

American and Delta Join United in Ending Domestic Change Fees
The four largest U.S. airlines no longer will charge change fees for domestic itineraries, after American Airlines and Delta Air Lines joined United Airlines in ending the $200 charge, a target of consumer ire for decades. Though each airline has a slightly different policy — American’s is most customer-friendly — the trio now roughly matches the standard at Southwest Airlines, which has never charged for changes.

United chairman: U.S. airline industry needs to shrink by half
According to United Airlines executive Chairman Oscar Munoz, if airline industry in the United States wants to survive, it will have to cut its labour costs by half.
Such cuts would mean either layoffs or reductions in worker hours and pay, Mundoz, former CEO of United, explained in an interview to CNN Business.

Aeroflot expects state guarantees in $940 million loan
Aeroflot Group received a $107 million (RUB7.9 billion) government subsidy and expects to obtain the state guarantees for securing two loans worth $940 million (RUB70 billion).
The announcement comes following the airline’s latest financial results issue, which revealed that Aeroflot losses were lower than previously anticipated.
