Fourth test MC-21 carries out maiden flight
Russian airframer Irkut has conducted the maiden flight of its fourth MC-21-300 test aircraft, with a Christmas Day departure from the assembly facility in Irkutsk.
The Pratt & Whitney PW1400G-powered twinjet lifted off for a 1h 40min initial sortie on 25 December, says the manufacturer.
It operated to an altitude of 3,000m (9,800ft) and speeds of up to 270kt.

Emirates airline president Clark to step down in June
Long-serving Emirates airline president Tim Clark is to retire at the end of June 2020.
News that Clark is to step down from the role next summer first emerged following reports of an internal announcement, which added Clark will remain as an advisor to the airline.
An Emirates spokesperson has subsequently confirmed that Clark is stepping down.

Air France to begin offsetting 100% of its CO2 emissions on its domestic flights
Air France has already selected 6 projects based in South America, Africa and Asia, in partnership with EcoAct.
Air France is the first airline to decide to proactively offset the emissions on its domestic flights. As of January 1, 2020, Air France customers will be able to travel throughout mainland France in a carbon-neutral way thanks to 100% offset emissions. Concretely, the CO2 emissions of 450 flights per day and 57,000 customers will be offset.

airBaltic receives its 22nd Airbus A220-300
airBaltic on December 23, 2019 in Riga welcomed its 22nd Airbus A220-300 jet, registered as YL-AAV. The 22nd Airbus A220-300 completes the planned new aircraft deliveries for airBaltic in 2019 and it is the second delivery of the additional order that was signed on May 28, 2018 for purchase of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft with options for an additional 30 aircraft of the same type.

Azimuth Airlines is now flying to Munich
Azimuth Airlines is now offering two weekly flights, departing on Sundays and Tuesdays, from Munich to the southern Russian city of Krasnodar.
The university city with a sub-Mediterranean climate, located between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, is approximately 1,200 km south of Moscow. It is an important research and business center.

New F&B outlets open at Mactan Cebu
Eight new F&B outlets have opened at Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines.
Master concessionaire, SSP, unveiled seven new outlets in July as part of its plans to transform the gateway's F&B offerings through the introduction of 27 new food and beverage units at the airport.
Those outlets included The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Ritazza, Burger King, Bon Chon, Cabin Bar, Camden food co and Nippon Ramen.

Called SAN Test Pilot and created in conjunctiion with local brewery, Ballast Point, and industrial water purification specialists, Water Works Inc, the beverage can be sampled at San Diego Ballast Point locations in Little Italy and Miramar as well as Home Brew Mart.
