Isn't that credit card fraud?

Not if the restaurant or waiter writes it in before the customer signs.

Eye Candy? I always get the waitress that looks like ANCFlyer.
I like my coffee how I like my women: Black, bitter, and preferably fair trade.

I had a terrible waitress at lunch today. I had to go to the bar for my own refills and then again to pay when I was done. Needless to say, zero tip.

Worst I ever had was in a deserted Little Chef in Hertfordshire (now closed, strangely enough). Apart from my friend and I, there was one party of three and that was it. The food was abysmal, but it was the service that really appalled. Having finished our main course, we thought we'd get a coffee before hitting the road again - and watched for fully ten minutes (we timed this) while all five wait staff talked among themselves with their backs to us. Bollocks to this, we said, let's go stand at the till and see how long it takes to pay. Ten minutes later (again, we timed it), no joy. Right, let's try something. So we went out and sat in the car. Within seconds, our waitress appeared at the back door ready to take down our licence plate. We glowered WTF at her, she glowered WTF back at us, and we went back in and paid our bill with the smallest coins we could scrape together. Then, standing beside the till, I phoned Corporate. How's that for a tip? {mischief}

Normally I find myself giving 15% or so for most meals...sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. However, If the place has been serving me alcohol, I have been known to tip random objects as well. My memory is somewhat hazy (For OBVIOUS reasons {blush} ), but I'm pretty sure in LAS i ended up leaving a shoe on top of a rather large tip.

Well look who showed up for the party! {thumbsup}

Ok, so where was I? Oh yes, I generally tip fairly well, and like...Aloges maybe?....said, I don't always tip by a percent, but often by how good the service is.

And THAT is why I very,very rarely eat out. I don't have the money really to do so, and I rather enjoy home cooking anyway.

Very poor service gets change.

Very good service gets you a good tip.

Once had very good service from a hot young waitress that knew my name and I left a big tip. She was my regular waitress and I liked her. And then she told me, while I was leaving, that my long hair was a turn on. And she said it in front of Leah, on our anniversary. And now I am afraid that she can never be our waitress again. {sigh} {facepalm}

Heya! Long time no talk.

Eh, pretty good.....getting older, and just trying to enjoy life in the process. Hows things been on your end Justin?

I always overtip. And consequently, when I go into places more than once, the service is always good.

Same here. Rapidly approaching my final semesters at college, preparing for life in the "real world". Enjoying single life (again, yes...) And in a great mood because I did just save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico! ;)
