I'm thinking of buying a notebook, but I'm thinking also of waiting for the release of the new OS from MS. Does anyone know if it's actually going to be better than Vista? If not, if it's hoopla that probably isn't justifiable, I may get one sooner.

According to my nephew - own his own IT company in Milwaukee - Vista vs MS7 - is no big deal. That essentials will be all the Service Packs will be included, some new colors crap, but otherwise, it's Vista version 3.0.

Get which ever you prefer . . .

From using it, I think it's much better and more steamlined than Vista. I'd wait.

As for being Vista 3.0...not sure about that. Even my Maccy friends like 7.

If you can get ahold of one of the release candidates, I'd suggest tinkering around to see what you like.
