Found my old external and decided to clean up and maybe upload some of my shots. Found these of Skybus the day they started ops at CEF. These haven't been cleaned up, but would these be worth working on and uploading?

These are LoRes versions I copied from FB. Orginals are 2400px

Also, would this be considered an acceptable motive?

Motive? We have an inflatable plane hanging from a string in the database.

And yes, please do add them. They are very worth it just for the historical value they represent.

I can't seem to recall the story of Skybus... {blush}
Einstein said two things were infinite; the universe, and stupidity. He wasn't sure about the first, but he was certain about the second.

Weren't they the ones with a hub at CMH, who wre offering $10 tickets or something if you bought them early?

And obviously they flew to places where no one wants to go, like CEF.... :))

Lol, pretty much. And hey, don't knock CEF. Skybus told people they were going to Hartford. They just didn't know it was 40 miles away :))

No one. Skybus soon learned that. ;)

Bloody long way in a Twotter...
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Damn it, now I've got to go and look... {cheerful} Looking at the quoted range figures from Wikipedia (which you'd have to be certifiably nuts to use in real life), eyeballing it, and hoping to Christ that the wind is right and the airfields are usable when we get to them:

LEQ Lands End
SYY Stornoway
KEF Keflavik
UAK Narssarssuaq (we have to go there, just to say "arse arse-whack" on the radio)
YYR Goose Bay

...and from there, if you have the long range tanks and don't mind logging a bit of glider time, you can just about make HFD with a tailwind.

Not here but in the UK, I actually have the ONC charts {blush}

And after that tortuous flight, topped off by a perilous glide, you step out of the AC, and realize you just went through hell to get to.......Hartford.

Hell, at least CEF has C-5s....

Found it :))

Money can't buy happiness; but it can get you flying, which is pretty much the same.
