There is a video of the landing out there. Given the conditions and the extremely hard landing, it looks like icing may well be a factor.

The video from the aircraft holding short is wild. Definitely a solid landing. Would put even a C172 to shame.

If this were south of the border, I'd say it got smacked by some perfectly routine and perfectly safe helicopter downwash on short final. As it is, I have no idea.

On the bright side, it shows how far we've come that - so far, at least - nobody was killed by that wild ride. That is truly impressive.
