January 9: Cyprus Airways closes down after 68 years of operations. Closure due to the EU ruling that state support would have to be paid back. The Board of Directors elected to liquidate the company. They had 6 A320 aircraft.
 
February 3: First flight of the Embraer KC-390.
 
February 4: Crash of TransAsia Airways flight GE235 in Taipei, Taiwan, an ATR 72. At least eleven dead.
 
United Express (Republic Airlines) Bombardier DHC-8-402Q (N204WQ) at  Albuquerque - International, United States
February 5: Fire all but destroys the Dowty propeller factory at Staverton, Gloucestershire, UK. The facility makes propellers for the C-130J and Bombardier Q400. The nearby Messier-Bugatti-Dowty landing-gear design and manufacture facility is unaffected. Read more...

March 24: ---In 2015…Germanwings flight 9525 departed Barcelona for Dusseldorf. When the Captain left the flightdeck, the First Officer set the altitude to 100 feet at a rate of 3,000 FPM. The captain tried to get back in to the cockpit, was locked out. The A320 (D-AIPX, MSN 147) crashed in the French Alps near Barcelonnette, killing all 150 aboard. May 9: On 9 May 2015, an Airbus A400M Atlas cargo plane on a test flight crashed at La Rinconada, less than 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Seville Airport at around 1pm local timeOn 9 May 2015, an Airbus A400M Atlas cargo plane on a test flight crashed at La Rinconada, less than 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Seville Airport at around 1pm local time. The aircraft, serial number MSN023, was on its pre-delivery test flight and was scheduled to be the third A400M to be delivered to the Turkish Air Force. October 31: A Metrojet/Kolavia Airbus A321 bound for St. Petersburg breaks up and crashes into the Sinai desert minutes after takeoff from Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. All 217 passengers and 7 crew are killed. Initial investigations point towards a bomb. Read more...
