This accident caught my attention because as a student pilot I had a nearly similar experience that obviously ended much better. RIP to all involved. To any pilot that thinks someone else is getting too close, all I can say is at the earliest opportunity turn away as fast as you can. Act as if the other pilot doesn't see you.

What's the point of an open door policy if inside the open door sits a closed mind?
