Two French military planes that flew very close to the ground have struck electrical lines and cut the power supply to a village in the south of France.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon in the small village of Le Castellet, near Manosque.

The two Rafale aircraft had taken off from a nearby air base on a low-altitude training flight, reports say.

Fortunately, the power line surrendered first. {duck}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Oh boy, the response will be like Italy's. They'll NOTAM every "latice" tower in the damn country making notam reading a bitch!!

Italy did that after U.S. war planes cut a cable car line.
What's the point of an open door policy if inside the open door sits a closed mind?

Yeah, the Cavalese cable car disaster.Twenty people were killed in 1998 when a USMC EA-6B Prowler cut the cable car cable.

The aircraft was flying faster and considerably lower than allowed by military regulations. The restrictions in effect at the time required a minimum flying height of 2,000 feet (610 m); Ashby said he thought they were at 1,000 feet (305 m). The cable was cut at a height of 360 feet (110 m).
