I've always been curious as to why Azores/SATA has only seemed to go in and out of Boston on the east coast for the U.S. Not that there is anything wrong with Boston, but just surprised they aren't going in and out of other markets such as Newark, JFK, Dulles, etc. Anyone have any insight?

Probably has something to do with the Azorean/Portuguese community there. I flew them last month from Boston to Lisbon with a stop at Ponta Delgada. Nice service, at a very reasonable price.
And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen

I'd like to try them out at some point. I've heard nothing but good things about them and the Azores. Had a coworker back in NYC who took the train up to Boston 3 years in a row just to fly out on them.

Didn't realize there was a big community in Boston. Thanks.
