Wow, very nice site. Definitely a cool resource.

Here's an HDR tutorial. It's a bit wordy, but it covers the bases well, provides lots of instructional photographs and is easy to follow:

I know a bunch of you have some killer bookmarks, so add them! I'll add mine in a bit.

I downloaded a copy of photomatix last night because there are some things lacking in DPHDR (some things lacking in photomatix as well, but different things).

Then I stumbled upon this little gem, tried it, it works (reply 3):

I'll add another bookmark, if no one minds.
http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/high-dynamic-range.htm

The above is an excellent tutorial on how to take high dynamic range images (not to steal your thunder, Nosedive!) that I have used. It's a very simple and easily understood, plus it gives excellent illustrations of when HDR will work best.

Again, great thread. I'd say this is a candidate for a sticky to the top of General Photography.

No tutorials or techniques there, but the site brands itself "Best photos on the web". And after browsing their archives, I must say it's at least not a total hubris. Awesome stuff there, lots of inspiration (though they are definitely lacking aircraft photos... {silly} ).

And added. OK, so my primary goal in this thread/sticky is to add everyone's stuff to the OP. That way, we have a quick reference to items we found helpful. My secondary goal is to make that list f-ing huge. 1st goal is being met. Need more help on the secondary goal! (Though thanks to those who are contributing!)

That's a great goal, and thanks for adding mine. I'm going to look for a really good tutorial on creating basic frames in photoshop (which help some photos, but others not so much, as I've discovered in the most fugly of ways), but if someone finds a good one first, please post it!
