Might keep my eye on this one, would be kind of cool to have but I really would have to see the thing in person before I throw any money at it.

One second thought 78,000 is a lot for a DeLorian, hell I don't think I have ever seen one with that many miles

Well, if you've been looking for a Delorean Time Machine, look no further. This is the most screen accurate Back to the Future Delorean Time Machine replica to ever appear on eBay. It is a real masterpiece. You might be asking yourself why it's so expensive? Well, try to build a super-accurate Delorean Time Machine yourself, and you'll quickly see how time consuming it is. That last 20% of accuracy takes 500% more time and effort.

I was/am a die hard BTTF fan, but that's insane for that. Not to mention since DMC is gone, where do you get replacement parts if something happens to the car.

"New build/old stock" and used DeLoreans can be had for as low as $25,000-$30,000. I actually had been thinking about picking one up a year or so ago.

Some guy actually owns a warehouse full of parts he bought. He has enough that for the right price he will build you a "new" car

He charges a premium too. $150 for floor mats. But if you wanna drive in style, you gotta pay the buck bucks right? 8)

I saw a BTTF replica, like on the website in my neighborhood as a kid, driving fast. It was awesome, I was waiting for the flash of light/smoke and flaming tire tracks but it didn't come.

I think Deloreans are kinda cool, but I never understood the fetish some people have for them. I laughed when I saw the episode of Monster Garage where they shot up the Delorean and heard that they received complaints from Delorean fans.

Did this company ever commence production of their $57k fibreglass replicas?

"After working on these cars practically every day for 25 years, we've identified most of the issues and replaced them," Wynne said. "If there's a better part available, we'll use it. If there's a better way to install it, we'll do it."

It's taken them 25 years to find most of the faults! {laugh}
A million great ideas...

For me, the fetish comes from being a big BTTF fan. I've been a fan of that series since I saw Part 2 in the theatre as a youngin'
