My daughter called me at work yesterday to tell me where I'm going for a vacation next summer...Portsmouth, NH. I'm psyched!! I've not seen the Blues since I watched a practice in 1987...the actual show a day or two later was cancelled, and they had to fly out early because of the approach of Hurricane Emily, fondly known as 'the bitch who came for breakfast.' That storm totally wrecked my holiday week. I had taken the whole week off for the air show, had cooked meals in advance so I could relax and enjoy the show...then we lost electricity for 2 weeks...no way to unload fridge contents (we were told not to until the garbage collectors were given the all-clear in some areas because of trees and wires down)...any idea what 2-week old meat loaf smells like? It ain't pretty.
Plus, that bitch made the Blues leave.

After having seen the Thunderbirds last month, the Blues have them beat, hands down. I get to see them three times next year, Key West, MacDill and Homestead again, maybe next year they'll have preferred seating.

I'm in one the bands in the Rose Parade this year (sorta, long story) but when we step off they're is supposed to be a navy jet fly-over, a big deal navy wise, any chance it will be the Blues?

Extraordinarily thin. Even though they'll be 'down the road' in El Toro, they are in winter training and I haven't heard of them deviating from that for nothing. I'll be happy to be wrong as I'll be watching it in HD ;)
At least I'm not a drunk.

Dobbins isn't too far, but I work Fri-Sat-Sun so chances of seeing the show are thin.
